Visits in Essen, Linz, Liverpool, Novi Sad, Thessaloniki 2005 - 2006
Searching for Europe we visited five ordinary European cities and let ourselves be led to common and uncommon places by passionate urbanites. Artists, teachers, business men, film directors and a Drag Queen direct us under cover of darkness to the back rooms of Europe. They show us sites with importance to them ranging from the slag heap of a disused cole-mine in western Germany and a wicked music tavern in Thessaloniki, the red-light district of Liverpool or the barbecue in the streets of Novi Sad.
The nightly trips have been documented by video cameras. Five video log books have been made which are the footage for the 60 minute documentary TRIVIAL EUROPE.
